Professional Networking

Effective networking allows us the opportunity to find out more about what is happening in our professions and meet others with similar backgrounds and experiences. A successful networker can make many very powerful connections and more easily gain employment. In this session we will be discussing tips and tricks on how to successfully network. How to meet the right people, how to find the right events to network at, and how to stand out in a crowd for all the right reasons. Networking is a learned skill that takes practice and upkeep. Let's all spend a little time perfecting our networking skill set!

Notes about our venue:  Rogue Ale House provides space for our presentations free of charge as a service to the community.  Because of the serving of alcohol on the premises, our presentations are restricted to those who are 21 or older and can produce valid proof of age if requested.  Also, we request that outside food and drink are not brought into Rogue, as we would currently be forced to shut down this service if Rogue decided that we were no longer welcome.

I hope to get my business cards before the event, but for now I would like to invite you to be one of the first who try our new service at We are excited about the new convenient mechanism we created that will help you help students develop their skills and relationships, so they can discover their passion and land the career they love. This is quite essential given how many college students are confused about what they want to do in life and the struggle they have to find opportunities to apply what they learn.

Currently, we are trying to get a few quests up before we start inviting students in. Please help us by posting a few of those brilliant ideas/projects of yours that never got to see the light because you didn't have the time/expertise/budget for them. Let's get your ideas built while helping students learn. :-)

You can use this invitation code: JOBGRP

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
