Online Sponsorship Sales

We have a proven sponsorship program that connects sponsors, like Columbia Sportswear, Microsoft, Blackberry etc, with Meetup Groups -- and Meetup Groups with sponsors. Sponsors get a unique, powerful way to build their brands while breaking through social media clutter and reach real people in the real world. The Opportunity:

  • This is a great opportunity to get in the ground floor of new business built on top of a successful startup.
  • You are representing tens of thousands of authentic local community groups. You are their rep, selling sponsorship of their Meetups and their million+ monthly RSVPs. The Sponsors are usually national brands either through the brand directly or their agencies looking to reach highly influential members.
  • You will be responsible for opening the doors to brands, agencies even social responsibility departments to raise the awareness of our sponsorship program.
  • You will also handle in-bound sponsorship leads.
  • You will deliver growing results/revenue from Sponsorships to Meetup Groups and Meetup HQ.

Success Factors:

  • 3+ years of proven superstardom in ad sales and/or sponsorship program development.
  • Creative and consultative sales style; comfortable with a longer sales cycle.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit.
  • High-energy.
  • Results-focused.
  • Working understanding of consumer internet technology and culture.
  • Inspired by Meetup’s mission.


Compensation includes base salary, incentive cash compensation, and stock options.

This position is located in our New York City headquarters and will require some travel.
