RE: [webdesign-490] 2012 Dallas GiveCamp Weekend

Wilma/Chris. I would love to be involved in this as well. I’m not a Joomla guru, but I know enough I can help with basic/moderate things. My plate is very full and can’t commit to it at this point, however. What is the drop-dead date for volunteering?

Normally this is an annual event, but that is determined by the organizer in each city and depends on whether or not they’re able to get the help they need to run an event every year.

GiveCamp has a 5-year tradition of supplying much-needed technology assistance to local area non-profits.  If you know friends outside the DFW are that you think would be interested in participating in, or running a GiveCamp event in their city, please have them reach out to http://givecamp.org or you can point them at me directly. WE are always looking for volunteers, developers, designers, project managers, etc. from all technology backgrounds to help support each event. On the GiveCamp.org homepage there is a map showing all the past and planned GiveCamp events, as well as a list down the side of those events currently scheduled in the next 12 months.

GiveCamp continues to grow every year, thanks to the efforts of volunteers like Shawn, Wilma and you - thanks for your continued support of GiveCamp!

Cheers!

Wilma,

I would absolutely LOVE to volunteer for this next time, as I am teaching an eBay boot camp all day on Saturday, Octobe 27th.  Is this an annual event and if so, I'd like to be on the volunteer list and appreciate the invite.

Kindest regards,

Stephanie

GiveCamp is a weekend-long event where software developers, designers, database administrators and project managers donate their time to create custom software and websites for non-profit organizations.

It's not to late to volunteer your time and talents!

The event will take place the weekend of October26-28.

All sorts of talents are needed: graphic designers, html, php, WordPress, Joomla, quality assurance, etc.  If you sign up today, you'll be in time to participate in tonight's orientation (6 pm) at CTREC.

For more information go to http://www.dallasgivecamp.org

See you there!

Wilma
