Journalism.co.uk social

After the success of the Journalism.co.uk social in September, we have decided to make this a regular gathering.

This is a social for journalists and other news industry professionals.

It will be very informal with no speeches or presentations, just a chance to get together.

It's being organised by Journalism.co.uk, a site that reports on innovations in the digital news space.

We will be in a cordoned off area in the Loft Bar, which is right at the top of The Parcel Yard Pub. For those who came last time and realised we had more people than space, we have a larger area of the bar booked for November.

Ping.it is sponsoring drinks and have put some money behind the bar!

Ping.it  lets you setup your own custom feeds, called probes, that automatically collect leads and find good stories. You can also subscribe to probes created by other professionals and take advantage of a thriving community of newsgathering journalists and bloggers, click here for more details.

Just like last time, we have a voucher system in the hope that the free drinks will get shared out a bit (you swap a business card for a drink – so do bring a business card).

Like the first one, it was thoroughly enjoyable and I met lots of new people. The extra space was very much appreciated, too! I look forward to the next one :-)

Hi everybody, I am sorry I missed it, I got to stay at work. I wanted to come because I am looking for a Russian journalist, to collaborate on a project that I am producing at the moment and which will be publish next year. I don't want to say too much about it here, but if you speak and understand fluently Russian and you are interested in working on a journalistic project please let me know : [masked]. Hope that is ok to use Meetup for this kind of thing. Have a lovely night

Looking forward to connecting with Journos and writers. We've just launched our student price comparison website - www.studentmoneymarket.com and are looking for content writers to get involved ahead of a roll out of new services. E: [masked]
