Knockout and MVVM

  • Feb 26, 2013 · 6:00 PM

Knock out troubles for complex UI. Learn how to create rich and dynamic UI in 30min. The heart of Knockout is observable dependency tracking. It uses Model-View-View Model (MVVM) pattern to simplify dynamic javascript UIs.

Knockout helps to write very clean code for automatic UI refresh and declarative binding. It's much easier to scale up nontrivial UI and handle overlapping behaviors. has very nice api documentation and interactive tutorial.

I also had someone who stayed home asking if the slides were available - as much as they were minor part.

Really well organized. Material was clear, although I wish the speaker felt more confident, because he did a great job.

Have good momentum on Backbone, and starting Ember. Going over the Knockout TODO. The more MVV's you know the easier they are to pick up. e.g. (Backbone, Ember, Knockout, Angular). PS going to jquery Toronto this weekend, looks like they are doing several Backbone sessions. Great!!!
