I really like the idea of a protonight, but wouldn't it be better if the "idea" guy could pre post or at least post on a board at the event his/her idea and allow the developer guys to choose which one they want to work on a first come basis ... then let the remaining ones fall at random? Probably valid arguments against this as well but it seems like it might be more efficient because you may quickly find the random developer doesn't have the area of experience needed to even begin the idea prototype.

I'm wondering--what is the minimum level of proficiency required for this event? I'm really new to programming, and thought this might be a good way to learn more, but I don't want to bring anybody down either.
