Ideal Person

IndieGoGo is seeking a visual designer and front-end developer to guide the visual design and to create the needed HTML/CSS/image artifacts. As the primary visual designer of the team we will be looking to you to lead the discussion on a vision for the how the site looks, and the best way to translate the mission of the company into an impactful site. We are seeking someone who is passionate about design and can channel that energy into getting things done.

This position is based in San Francisco, CA.

FUN FACT: We believe in lean user experience design thinking, which is why we're attending the the LUXr program right now.


  • Lead, refine and document the visual direction of IndieGoGo’s products
  • Work closely with the product owner, interaction designer, and development team to implement and maintain a visual design that matches the mission of IndieGoGo
  • Write clean, standards-compliant HTML and CSS for designs, working with our talented developers
  • Take an iterative and collaborative approach to producing and iterating through design


  • A minimalist sensibility & strong typography and layout skills
  • Experience designing live consumer web applications
  • Exceptional written and in-person communication skills and a collaborative approach to design
  • Strong technical abilities (including HTML/CSS/JS) and ability to work closely with developers
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git or Subversion)
