Just moved up from Charleston, SC where there's a vibrant Latin dance community, but I was one of like 2 Jewish people in it! I'm excited to meet folks who share these two of my great loves- Latin culture, and Judaism.
I've been dancing for 8 years. Unfortunately, haven't gone out dancing at all since I've been in NYC - I am an intern at Montefiore Medical Center, so very little free time, plus, I don't really know the hot spots here yet. Looking to get connected.
Yes, both parents. I'd say I'm Conservadox, or something in there. Also looking to get connected to a down-to-earth, laid-back Jewish community here... I haven't really found a peer group of Jews yet- like, people to have Shabbat dinners with.

Hi Rachel! You're invited to try a Scottish Country Dancing Meet-up Group! The patterns made by the dancers working together are beautiful, we use great music, no previous experience doing Scottish country dancing is needed to join us, & you'll meet your partners on the dance floor. Our teachers will teach you what you need to know to enjoy this dance form & to make new friends! Check us out: Scotia Scottish Country Dancers Meetup Group & The New York Scottish Country Dancing Meetup Group!
Hi Rachel. The Bronx is a long commute for events, but I hope your brother is able to attend when he gets here. Welcome to Carolina Outdoors Society.
