News Flash: Please RSVP for the JCP Community Party in advance. We will be going as a group from the Pavilion to that Party at 7pm.

This will be the first face-to-face gathering of JUG-USA Liaisons since the inception of JUG-USA earlier this year. We will discuss among other things plans for our first national election of JUG-USA officers. Van Riper, Interim JUG-USA President, will lead this meeting. For those unfamiliar with JUG-USA, please see Van Riper's recent blog about the Benefits of JUG-USA Affiliation.

This meeting is primarily for JUG-USA Liaisons attending JavaOne this year, but, all are welcome. Most importantly, we want all JUGs in the United States represented on this JUG-USA Map whether they choose to affiliate with JUG-USA or not. If you would like to find out more about becoming a JUG-USA Affiliate, please contact Van Riper.

After gathering in the Community Corner, we will make our way as a group to the JCP Community Party over at the Intercontinental Hotel. Since JUG-USA is a JCP member, any JUG-USA member by association is
also part of the JCP Community. For those of you attending JavaOne and/or CommunityOne, please join us at the JCP Community Party on Tuesday night. To make sure you won't have a problem getting in to the

We will be holding our JUG-USA Summit at this party. If necessary, we can take it outside the party room. The hotel where the party is located has spacious lobby areas on multiple floors. So, we can adjourn to one of the lobbies at some point to hold our informal meeting that night and still enjoy the party. This means anyone attending the JUG-USA Summit should also RSVP for the JCP Community Party.
