Come make a jump with us!

The purpose of this group is to organize gatherings for those wanting a basic introduction to the sport of skydiving and to arrange outings for those wishing to engage in the activity. Our intent is to foster increased participation in the sport and to increase the size of skydiving community within Northern California.

Initial meetups will be informal social gatherings usually somewhere in San Francisco. There will be at least one United States Parachute Association licensed skydiver in attendance who will be qualified to answer basic questions relating to participation in the activity.

The skydivers in attendance will attempt to dispel the myths and bring to light the risks and rewards associated with skydiving. We'll cover the options for making your first jump and attempt to determine if you're interested in going for a single jump while attached to a professional skydiver or if you are looking to learn how to fly your body in freefall and land under your own parachute. We'll also discuss the various establishments in Northern California where you can make this goal a reality. Skydivers will endeavor to provide unbiased descriptions of skydiving establishments with special attention being paid to proximity, cost, services, facilities, and general atmosphere.

Finally we'll try to organize outings to the various skydiving locations for those who feel they are ready to make the big leap. Individuals whose friends are not ready to skydive are strongly encouraged to attend and jump with us instead.

Attendance is open to the general public providing they are at least 18 years of age, and interested in making a jump and/or interested in learning how to skydive.

Skydivers with a USPA C or D license and no commercial affiliation within the skydiving industry are also welcome to attend. Skydivers meeting those qualifications who wish to participate at the gatherings should first contact the group organizer to discuss their role within the group.

This group is purely social and informational. During our gatherings neither services nor discounts will be offered, no money will be accepted, no contracts verbal or written will be made. Individuals and groups wishing to go skydiving will be responsible for booking their own services with whichever skydiving facility they feel best meets their desires. They will also need arrange for their own transportation to that facility.
