Let's get together and run in Central Park. This run will be very beginner-friendly, but we welcome runners at all levels. We will be running anywhere from 2-12 miles depending on what everyone is looking to do.
The main starting point will be at the Columbus Circle by the gold statue. From there we will jog counter-clockwise on center drive then onto east drive. For those looking for an easy run, we can stay on the lower loop of the park. Each loop is 1.7 miles. If you want a more advanced run with hills, we can run full loops around the park. We'll coordinate what everyone is doing when we meet. In your RSVP please include your goal pace, distance, and what you will be wearing so that we can find you easily. If you're a new runner and are not sure of your pace, don't worry, we will figure that out for you once we get out there. The New York Running company at the Time Warner Center has changing rooms, and free bag check. Restrooms are available at the Time Warner center as well. The water fountains are *off*, so depending on how long you plan to run you may want to bring a drink or have a drink before you start.
If everyone can agree on the same pace we can all run together and people can break off as they meet their goal distances. Otherwise we will designate pacers and break up into pace groups.
For every run, we will pick a place to meet at the end. Once everyone is together again we can find a place to eat/drink nearby. We can use this time to talk about running in general and about everyone's fitness goals for 2013.
