Do you salsa? Or perhaps just want to listen to a good latin band? Let's head to the beautiful High Line park for the season kickoff of their !Arriba! Community Dance Party.
What is that?
Friends of the High Line in partnership with HAI and Hudson Guild are hosting some of New York City’s best Latin bands at the High Line park, transforming the park into an open-air dance floor at sunset. Launching the party are the sweet sounds of Orlando Marin. Marin is the last mambo King, and he and his dynamic band will be filling the air with traditional salsa and merengue rhythms that will get everyone shaking to the beat of the timbales drums.
The important stuff ...
- Bring your dancing shoes. Even if you don't know how to salsa, someone might ask you to dance and show you a thing or two.
- RSVP only if you seriously plan to attend as space is limited. If you RSVP and I notice you have a number of no shows or a history of last minute cancellations, you will be removed.
