No treadmill Sunday Central Park Runs

Yes, it's getting colder. But running in the cold can still be really enjoyable with the proper preparation and planning. See this great article from NYRR about Cold Weather Running.

This run will be beginner-friendly, but we welcome runners at all levels. We will be running anywhere from 2 - 6ish miles depending on what everyone is looking to do.

The main starting point will be at Columbus Circle by the gold statue (not the silver unisphere).

Here are some options:

Advanced
6 miles: Lots of hills. Run along the full outer loop of the park. The hills are more challenging if you run counter-clockwise.

Intermediate
~5 miles: Run along the outer loop but cut across the 102nd st traverse.  You'll skip the infamous Harlem hill.

Beginner
1.7 miles: Run around the lower loop. Cut across the 72st traverse and hang a left again once you hit the west side, end back at Columbus Circle.

If possible we will break into pace groups, but either way lets meet back at the USS Maine Monument around 12-12:15am.

Where do I leave my stuff?
The New York Running Company at the Time Warner Center (located on the 2nd floor) has open bins, and lockers behind the cash register. To use the lockers, you must bring your own lock. They also have changing rooms. These services are free. The New York Running Company opens at 11am on Sunday.

After the run once everyone is together again, we can grab some food nearby. Our goto place is typically Cosmic Diner on 52nd and 8th ave. Hot chocolate, coffee, pancakes? Mmmm..

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
