Sunday Central Park Runs

This run will be beginner-friendly, but we welcome runners at all levels. We will be running anywhere from 2 - 6ish miles depending on what everyone is looking to do.

The main starting point will be at Columbus Circle by the gold statue (not the silver unisphere).

Here are some options:

Advanced
6 miles: Lots of hills. Run along the full outer loop of the park. The hills are more challenging if you run counter-clockwise.

Intermediate
~5 miles: Run along the outer loop but cut across the 102nd st traverse.  You'll skip the infamous Harlem hill.

Beginner
1.7 miles: Run around the lower loop. Cut across the 72st traverse and hang a left again once you hit the west side, end back at Columbus Circle.

If possible we will break into pace groups, but either way lets meet back at the USS Maine Monument around 12-12:15am.

Where do I leave my stuff?
The New York Running Company at the Time Warner Center (located on the 2nd floor) has open bins, and lockers behind the cash register. To use the lockers, you must bring your own lock. They also have changing rooms. These services are free. The New York Running Company opens at 11am on Sunday.

What time does the run actually start?
Plan on arriving at 11am, but we won't start running until about 11:15am in case people need to change or drop off their stuff at the NY Running Company. We will not wait longer that 11:15am.

After the run once everyone is together again, we can grab some food nearby. Our goto place is typically Cosmic Diner on 52nd and 8th ave. Hot chocolate, coffee, pancakes? Mmmm.. If anyone wants to suggest a different place that is close by, we're flexible.

Call/text Henry at (646)[masked] if you have any questions or are having trouble finding us.

Dig deep and drag yourself out to go for a run! You'll be glad you did!

** only RSVP 'No' if you were previously a 'Yes'.

Sorry everyone I was going to host the run for Henry but something came up and I can't make it. The run will not be canceled so everyone can still meet up for a run.

Hey guys! I would absolutely love to start meeting up for runs any day! One of my old college teammates just let me know last minute that she will be in town today so I am going to hang out with her instead. Hope to "meet up" soon though!

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
