Dinner and a Movie: Ted

And now we have celebrated our independence and also chosen our movie! Never has there been a finer day for Democracy! The movie you have chosen, and by a huge margin, is Ted. The breakdown of votes is as follows:

Brave (5)

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (11)

Ted (42)

Magic Mike (2)

First is the movie. We'll be catching the 7:05pm showing at 34th Street 14 Theater. After the movie, we'll head over to the Skylight Diner to eat dinner and partake in intellectual discourse over how an equally cute and crude teddy bear represents the constraints of Western Civilization- or we could just laugh about it some more, whatever floats your boat.  Just a fair warning, we use the Skylight Diner because it's affordable, can seat a nearly infinite number of people with no prior notice, and the food is what you expect from a diner (a huge addtional plus is they do seperate checks). The catch is, the service can be less than personable. As in most things, a balance must be struck, and so there it is.

Afterwords, whosoever does not wish the evening to end may accompany us to the Local Cafe, also nearby the theater, for some drinks and continued conversation.

Great movie selection. The venue afterward was a necessary evil, but I was fine with it. The crowd was very friendly, and the bar after the dinner was cool too. Thanks Shawn, for putting this together.

Hey Gray, we usually meet inside the lobby about a half hour before the show starts, just so people can head up and start saving seats. Serdeep, you can buy your tickets, now. In fact, I reccomend it, since the movie seems so popular.

Ted looks funny but it's rated R for crude language. I can't believe it's gotten such high rating on IMBD, 7.8 stars: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1637725/ and 88% approval from viewers on Rotten Tomatoes: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/ted_2012/

Oh no!!! ol' abe film "has no substance"...."dull", etc. Read here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/47986579#.T-u0tfWWhnI I'll search reviews on the other movies and will let you know. I didn't heed the bad reviews of The Dictator which was a waste for me, so now I do... :)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
