Are you an adult with "Juvenile" (Type 1) Diabetes? Do you feel ignored by diabetes groups and charities because you're not a cute child? Tired of having people assume you have diabetes because you're fat or because you eat too much junk food? Come talk about shots, pumps, blood tests, carb counting, food police, and people who just don't get it! Doesn't matter if you're on a pump or not. Join with other adults who know what it's like to have a disease that people who don't have it don't understand. You can even bring a partner or a friend with you.
Our location is yet to be determined, but I'm hoping to make it central, either in or close to downtown. However, if members want a different location, I am open to ideas.
