It's a new place in NW, opening in November I think.  They say it's an Asian style karaoke place - the rooms are all private.  I went to one of these for a New Year's Eve party in Boston some years ago and if you have a big enough group it's a lot of fun.  More expensive than going to the Ambassador et al, but not so bad when everyone chips in.

I have no connection to the place other than that my music teacher, Mark Bosnian, is going to be teaching karaoke clinics there.  He's an awesome instructor and all around great guy;  highly recommended.

I assume that parking is terrible (this is NW we're talking about ;) and it's only accessible by Max if you like to walk.  There is a bus that runs up NW 21st (it's at 21st and Hoyt).  Their site doesn't seem to mention smoking but I'd be very, very surprised if it was allowed.

I know it's not geographically convenient based on the poll results, but I bet some folks would be willing to go there for this.

So here's the information that the polls provided....

Where's the best place for people to go...

Hillsboro/Beaverton 16 votes & Washington Mall - 6 votes... so that area has a good number of folk..
********
Eastside PDX at 15 and Downtown at 10 means we have 25 people in the Greater PDX Downtown Area seeking to sing. That's going to be interesting..
**********
SE PDX is 16 and was the single highest number of votes.

What's the best evening..??

Fri and Sat of course were about even with over 20 votes each. And then Sun and Thurs tied at only 7/.

So what does all of that Stat mean?? Simple. We are going to need to ask people to drive a bit and seek assistance with car pooling a bit. We are going to be traveling around the Metro Areas and yes... crossing the river into the foreign country of WA State...oooooooooooo....

So I will need people to help in hosting and being the leader of a group for an Evening of Karaoke. Now the first one I would suggest is in the Downtown/Eastside of Willamette Area. Do people know of clubs/bars/ places to go... and could you answer simple questions about the places... such as..

Parking - What's it like
Commuting - Is it near a bus stop or Max Stop?
Smoking... do they have a separate place for non-smoking people, is it a smoking establishment?
Karaoke.. Are there a lot of people normally, or is this place a good start for us as a group so the rotations are shorter.

Anything people can share would be grand.. So add to this eMail message and let us know the best places East and Downtown to go..

THanks. Micheil
