Join us for a great urban hike through beautiful Golden Gate Park visiting the S.F. Botanical Garden, Stow Lake, Waterfall & Strawberry Hill. Take in some of the most beautiful, scenic views in San Francisco. After dinner, we will head to Pandora for Karaoke! Have a great time socializing while meeting new friends & enjoy lots of fun & laughter. Members in the group are always nice & friendly. We always have a lot of fun whenever we all get together with a couple of other meetup groups also invited. So join in on the fun! We look forward to seeing you there!
We will meet in Union Square at Bar Norcini for coffee & a meet & greet. At 3:15 pm, we will head to the start of the Panhandle by bus (15min), where we will start walking. We will walk through the Panhandle towards Golden Gate Park to explore the gorgeous S.F. Botanical Garden. Then, we hop across to Stow Lake & climb up the stairs next to the beautiful waterfall for some of the most picturesque & breathtaking views in San Francisco. From there, we hike up Strawberry Hill to get to the highest point of Golden Gate Park to catch a glimpse of the city & a great view of Ocean Beach. It's quite a distance & a few hills, so you will get a pretty good workout. At around 7pm, we head into the Inner Sunset for some very good & affordable Japanese food & sushi (avg. $12-15 per person).
-- This is an advanced beginners to intermediate walk. We will be going at a moderate pace. --
