Hi Everyone, sorry I've been M.I.A. lately. Ready to go karting again!

Date: Saturday May 9, 2009

Place: AllSports Grand Prix indoor kart track, Dulles, Virginia

What: The thrill of kart racing. No experience necessary. We'll do three races. Total time is about 1.5 to 2 hours. Karts, helmets, and driving suits provided.

By the way, we now get 10 minute races instead of 8 minute races due to the size and frequency of our group. Think of it as a quantity discount.

We're planning to do 3 races, approximate costs as follows (do as few or as many as you like):

$39 (AllSports Members) $62 (Non-members) $80 (3 Races & Annual Membership)


*** Please RSVP before the event so we can get an accurate driver count ***

If you RSVP additional guests, please only RSVP those who will be racing for the same reason. Spectators are always welcome.

The racing starts promptly at 7 pm. Come around 6:30 pm in order to register and get suited up.

    For non-members its about $62 for 3 races. You can bring your own gear (helmet, gloves, driving suit, etc) if you want. The track will supply them if you don't.

    Even though I can't make it out this weekend I have some questions for racing in the future:Is the 62 bucks for all 3 sessions or just 1? Would it be ok if I brought my gear? Thanks, steven

The all-Superkart Finale was excellent - despite some spins and some beating and banging - with 5 drivers swapping the fastest lap honor back and forth. Was fun to be able to watch the other group driving and try to steal "secrets". I like the big group and hope that more and more people will show up. Thanks as always David. ”
