Let's help make leis for our Veterans!

Want to help sew lei to honor our veterans for Memorial Day? The Hawaii Department of Agricutlure (HDOA) will open its facility for a huge lei-making event this Saturday:

May 25th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 
Plant Quarantine Branch, 1849 Auiki Street
Free parking!

HDOA will provide locally grown flowers and lei-making supplies!

Keiki to kupuna are welcome!

Donations of backyard flowers are also welcomed and may be dropped off at the location above.

The Boy Scouts will be placing a lei on each tombstone at the Punchbowl Memorial and the Veteran Memorial in Kaneohe on Sunday.

    Man this is awesome! I wish I could attend but I put together a hike that morning to raise funds for the Oklahoma disasters. Wow! I'm glad that you're doing this event. We should tag team our groups and continue these types of events.
