Second "Dummy" meetup for testing Google Maps on Meetup

This was just set up as a test to see if Meetup would correct the way their map pages interact with Google Maps. This is not really a meetup, but you may RSVP and look at the site here to see whatsup.  OK?  I moved the date back again and again because Meetup support took over four months and just now (June 4, 2014) has it fixed.

I contacted Meetup Support again. Wow!  Got a good reply on May 22nd and there was a partial fix already on the 23rd.

Now on June 4th:
THANK YOU Andrea Murphy, Community Manager,  Meetup HQ!  I just went on another Meetup and the map worked the way it used to.  AND, this map now works correctly, both with the old version of Google Maps and the new version of Google Maps.  Thank you, thank you.

We now again have the familiar GREEN ARROW pointing to the proper location (in the older version of Google Maps).  The new version does not use the Green Arrow, but does point to the correct place.   Yes, it is different, but I am now sure it will also be useful for us.

This will stay up 'till the 17th and I will mark all of you that replied that you were "going" on here as having attended the meetup.  :-)

Would you all please go to your Member page and update the information there? Most of you have done it, but there are still a lot that should. Thanks.

OK. This is now history and I will put up a Message Board message about the new version of Google Maps pretty soon. As you can see, all who said they were going are marked as having gone. :-)

I will leave this up for a few more days so everybody will have a chance to see what has been done. And yes, this could be made into a real Meetup.

Heck - I thought this was a real meetup. It is still a good place to go fishing. Last time I went we put in at the end of Cove Road. Anybody want to make this a real meetup?

I don't see the problem. Whether I go to google maps or put the coordinates in google earth, it goes to the entrance of hole in the wall.

Yes, as stated below and also in the body of the test Meetup, if we put the coordinates into Google Maps (or Earth - same thing), we have the correct location come up. However, if you use the Meetup link it does not do that. The problem is that Meetup has a link problem and I even told them how to fix it but nobody seems to follow up on it and they have not fixed it yet. Or have they now? You tell me. OK? Like I said in the message, click on the link and tell me what you get.
