They are impressive birds...Im glad Ben Franklin didn't get his way with the turkey being our national bird!  They soar with such grace and power...

I had to attend a close friends party for her son-in-law's return from Afganistan...nother patriotic moment....

Yes - can't wait but wonder if I can handle 13 miles!

Darn, you should have joined us today, we paddled 13 miles down the hooch, saw my very first bald eagle sitting on a dead tree hanging over the water.  Just seeing that beautiful bird made the trip worth while!

I look forward to seeing you soon.

John, you're such a hoot!   I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes...I think because my little VW with my new (used) red kayak I bought from you doesn't look to far from this image!  lol...But hey!  Nothing could be greener!  Ok, maybe a bike with a dingy strapped to the back....

I joined the group...thanks!

Hello folks,

Just wanted all the new members to know the group is not very active at all during the winter months.  If you have your own boat already you may want to join AtlantaAreaPaddlers.com   That group does paddle year round.

Classes and guided trips will start back up towards the end of March, weather permiting.

Many new paddlers worry about how to transport a boat, just know there is a boat and a way to transport it for everyone!
