Join L.L.Bean's "Outdoor Discovery School" instructor and Friends of North Park "Marketing & Communications Committee" member Robert "Snakeguy" Habegger for a fun and informative evening paddle on North Park Lake. Timing falls just between a sunset and an almost full moon. Sunset is at 8:06pm and moonrise is at 9:56pm. The moon will be illuminated to 86.8% and if clear skies prevail, should be a nice view.

What to bring:
For an L.L.Bean outing, you're responsible to supply your own equipment.
Kayak or Canoe
Personal Floatation Device (PFD)
Recommend pealess whistle (U.S. Coast Guard: a vessel of less than 39.4 feet (12 meters) must, at a minimum, have some means of making an efficient sound signal – i.e., handheld air horn, athletic whistle, installed horn, etc.
White light source (PA Law: a white light either hand-held or installed ready to be displayed in time to avoid a collision)
Additional Recommended Items:
Strap for glasses
Swimsuit and/or synthetic shorts or pants and top
Fleece jacket or pullover
Rainwear and/or nylon wind shell
Change of clothes and footwear for the ride home
One-quart water bottle or hydration system, filled
Personal prescriptions such as EpiPen or inhaler
Closed toed shoes (no Flip Flops)
Dry bag or Pelican case
Minimum age is 10. Children 10 to 14 years of age need to be accompanied by a participating adult. Children 15 to 17 years old can participate alone after their parent has signed the appropriate release form.
