Join L.L.Bean for a free kayak/canoe outing in the heart of Cook Forest State Park in Clarion County. Total time on the water is 4 hours depending on water levels. We will put in at the public launch in Clarington and paddle/float ~11 miles to the takeout in Cooksburg. This is moving water with class 1/class 2 designations. It is a great opportunity to experience moving water for beginners and novice kayakers. Accomplished paddlers will also enjoy this outing. The scenery is outstanding with great photo opportunities the whole way. The Clarion is considered to be Pennsylvania's premier canoe stream. Opportunities to practice moving water skills are plentiful. You'll have many chances to get out of the boat to take a break and stretch your legs. We will stop about half way for a stream-side lunch and rest break. Birding is exceptional; expect to see Bald Eagles and many other birds of prey.
