Introduction
I'm making the rounds joining all of the outdoor enthusiast groups and see member overlap which is wonderful! Back in the Burgh (my hometown) after 30+ yrs in Boston with outdoor romps in the water, woods, snowy trails and mountains of New England.
What kind of kayak(s) do you have, if any? Feel free to answer generally (recreational, touring, sea kayak, etc.) or specifically (color, length, make, model)
Lakes, estuaries, waterways, harbors and bays, ponds, rivers..not open water ocean. I enjoy recreational and touring, especially with kayaks that have food pedals for steering.
Where are your favorite places to paddle?
Ipswich Bay, estuaries of Essex and environs, Cape Cod, Allegheny River (most recently!) - in fact, it amazes me that people kayak on the rivers, having grown up at a time when doing so would be very hazardous. Wonderful how green my hometown has become :)
What kind of trips are you most interested in? (Easy, relaxed, fitness-paced, adventurous, social, urban, challenging, overnight camping, ??)
all of the above
What other outdoor activities do you enjoy?
hiking, backpacking and camping, cycling (on and off road) cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, tennis, fishing. Also love music, sharing food, and social events
