I drive a 16' Wilderness Systems Tsunami 160. It's a true sea worthy kayak. I also have a Wilderness Systems Pungo 140, which is a rec boat. I have done Class III rapids, paddled the open ocean and great lakes, and floated week-long wilderness trips in these boats.
I have been fortunate to have paddled with orcas, humpback whales, seals, sea lions, dolphins, bald eagles, moose, and one lynx swimming across the river. I've paddled in the Atlantic, the Pacific, and all five great lakes. My favorites list: Johnstone Strait, British Columbia; Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick; Apostle Islands & Pictured Rocks Nat'l Lakeshores, Lake Superior; Georgian Bay, ON; Lake Champlain, NY/VT; Allagash River, Casko Bay, Acadia NP - Maine; Boundary Waters - Minnesota; Florida Keys; Outer Banks - NC
Backpacking, scuba diving, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, some biking
I'm deathly afraid of water and I don't like people. Otherwise, kayaking is pretty cool...
