Greenland paddling at its finest with World renown instructors and paddlers, Dubside and Greg Stamer. This is an amazing opportunity to learn from World Class Masters.
Join Dubside, the Greenland Ropes and Rolling Guru, and Greg Stamer, Greenland Olympic Gold Medalist, adventurer and explorer on the beach for a series of workshops and demonstrations.
Schedule - These are soft times as both instructors are known to have their sessions run long. Luckily it gets dark late!
Spectators are welcome at all sessions. Depending on conditions, you may need to paddle out to the class location. Location will be posted each morning for all interested. All locations are near Virginia Key/Coconut Grove area.
Saturday, May 4th
10:00 am - Advance Greenland Rolling with Dubside & Stamer. Get a good night's rest and get ready to roll like you never rolled before. This session is those with a roll looking to improve their skill set.
$99 per participant
2:00 pm - Greenland Skills, Bracing and Control Skills - For those with prior experience. This session will address bracing, edging, leaned turns, bow rudders, draw strokes, sweep strokes and bracing with an intro to side sculling. Gain and understanding of how your boat, body and blade work together. Become one with your kayak.

Sunday, May 5th
9:00 am - Greenland Ropes (Dubside) and Rolling Demo (Dubside, Stamer) FREE at the Great Strides Walk benefiting Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
10:00 am - Greenland Forward Stroke. This session is geared towards those ready to immerse themselves into Greenland paddling. Learn how a skinny stick can propel you and your kayak just well or better than your traditional kayak paddle. Excellent session for those interested in reducing shoulder stress while paddling. $99 per participant
10:00 a.m. - Green Rolling Introduction. Learn how to roll up from a capsize, quickly, efficiently and effortlessly. Greenland paddles are preferred but not required for this session. We will have some loaner paddles at hand for class participants. $99 per participant
2:00 p.m. - COMMUNITY WORKSHOP - Beginner Greenland Workshop. New to Greenland Rolling? Think you knew a lot before? Learn the correct way to paddle. THIS WORKSHOP ONLY IS $50 per participant. Free to those who register for any two other sessions.

You MUST Pre-Register to guarantee your spot in a session, these session will be full, even with multiple instructors at hand. The goal of these sessions is to provide everyone with one-on-one time in the water with some of the World's top instructors. Each Session is $99. Register for 2-sessions and the third is FREE (including the community class or another workshop). That means you can experience a full weekend of World Class instruction for only $198. We are rebuilding a once thriving and exciting kayaking community.

Greg Stamer has a impressive pedigree in kayaking. He won multiple Greenland Olympic Gold medals, circumnavigated Iceland by kayak, engaged in expedition races and most importantly, loves kayaking in its many forms. His philosophy is one of balance and enjoyment. Yes, he can go fast but he also appreciates the beauty we are privileged to enjoy for out kayaks. Dubside -- Greenland Kayaking Rolling & Skills Guest Instructor
Dubside is known internationally as an authority on Greenland rolling and ropes gymnastics. He has appeared in Justine Curgenven’s "This is the Sea Four", Bryan Smith’s "Pacific Horizons", and magazine articles in "Sea Kayaker", "Canoe and Kayak", "Paddler", and "Adventure Kayak". He has his own series of instructional DVD’s. Dubside does presentations, demonstrations, and instructional classes for symposiums, clubs, and outfitters throughout North America and Europe. He is also an enthusiastic advocate of using folding kayaks to go kayaking via public transportation, which he calls “commando kayaking”. Watching, listening to, and learning from Dubside will get you excited about kayaking in general and using Greenland style paddles in particular.
