Kayaking Q&A - an Occasional Educational

We tend to like to talk a lot about paddling, so here's an opportunity to do just that!

NOW FEATURING - A TOPIC!!

Camping season has started!  In this, our last pre-camping-season meeting, we're going to talk a bunch about specific trips and sites, make recommendations based on your preferences, and try to make some time to plan specific trips around your interests.  There will be charts and Google Earth to guide us!

Beginners still welcome!

If you have questions of the most basic nature, please bring them here, and we will try to answer them.  No question too simple for us!

Come drink great coffee, eat fun odd snacks, and talk about it.

There will probably be a laptop if you bring media for everyone to watch - USB sticks, HDD, Silver Shiny Discs of CD or DVD flavor.

Hi Whitney! Still in NY until January and I'm sorry to be missing this particular Q & A. However, I do have a question. For example: What type of tent and sleeping bag do you buy that will fit inside a kayak? The ones we currently own would never fit! Any recommendations?

Also, the link to "Gear" under the "Pages" tab, leads to the article--"Packing Your Kayak" might be worth discussing at the Q&A. I just happen to stumble over this link and found it very informative. http://www.seakayakermag.com/2009/09e-newsletters/june/Jun09NLPackingyourkayak.pdf

Missing South Florida Kayaking Meetup and can't wait to get back down to Florida and participate in the activities again.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
