RATING - Beginner SK2 (click on link to see rating info), Night Trip, approx 5-8 miles, Medium Speed

This trip tends to have flat water, currents up to about 2MPH under some bridges, and can sometimes have brisk winds, though we usually pick a sheltered route on windy nights.

LOCATION & DESCRIPTION - This trip launches from George English Park (the park at the corner of Sunrise and Bayview Drive, across from the Galleria) and has about a dozen possible routes depending on wind and current. This trip can be as long (or short) as we feel like making it! Snacks/dinner afterwards sometimes, location TBD.

LAUNCHES - There are two launch points in this park, a very nice sand beach right at the corner of Sunrise Blvd and the Middle River (but don't park there), and a flat rocky beach near the Tennis Center toward the north side of the park. Regulars usually launch from the Tennis Center.

Rentals are $30.00 per single sit-on-top, $35.00 per cockpit single and $50.00 per tandem. To rent a kayak please submit registration form and then pay for your kayak. PARKING - FREE at the Tennis Center launch - don't park in the metered area, there are occasionally break-ins over there.
