Class Info:
Foundation Skills are essentially the primary structure from which paddlers will grow upon. The course consists of educating kayakers about gear, launching techniques, kayak design, paddling posture, paddle strokes, turning and re-entry techniques. While some participants may make this class appear easy others may need to take it a second time to really get the hang of becoming one with your kayak. Our instructors are competent, patient, effective and professionally trained. The course objective is to unite paddler and kayak as a unit through knowledge, demonstration and assistance. This course is strongly suggested to every kayaker, and mandatory for any kayaker looking to participate in our open water paddles. This class is limited to 5 students so if you are serious please book early to guarantee your spot. Class includes instructional material and water.

Thank you for a great day, Erica! I learned so much in the class, including edging the kayak, which is a thrill!

Erica and her sidekick were patient and positive with each of us--they covered so much in a half day--including the paddling technique that I was interested in.
