I am 100% sure this will be on Sunday Oct 2nd. 2011.

The Date on the link has the inccorect date,,,

Ok kids, it's almost that time of the year again... I know it is early to post but once again I am going to get busy at work and do not want to miss this... Price- $12 adults - kids 10 & under $6 Parking is free and come early to get the best food... All other cross post will be welcome!!!

Thank you!!! Mike C

This is a come all event, I will not scheduling a meet-up point for the group. Everyone is welcomed to attend including children. I hope to be around all day and if you run in to me I will be more than happy to point you in the right direction. If you like Thai Food then this is the place to come,,if your not sure then this is still the place to come and try the food you always wanted to but was not sure what it was!!! The event cost $12 to get in to and that gets you all the food you can eat as long as the food last. Drinks will run you $1 each. The Wat Temple grounds are open to visit and you really will not get past the beauty of the this magical place. Here is an out take from the web page for the food festival ..  http://www.watflorida.org/pages/FoodFest.htm I know the date is incorrect and will be changed as soon as the monks get around to it...

From the Monks...

"The Taste of Thailand Food Festival at Wat Florida Dhammaram is a time when our temple supporters can show off their culinary skills for this annual fund raising event. As with all of our festivals and cultural events, there will be many vendors selling items of clothing, arts and crafts, plants and foods from Thailand. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy!" Thank you,

Wat Temple

This is what I (Mike C) know... The Food can be spice make sure you ask before you eat it. If they say Thai spicy at any time I would not eat it!!! Most vendors will not make the food to spicy and you can always ask them to add some more heat. Eat the food first and try the sweets/deserts last. Follow the line in order try not to cut in to get something. And trust me if it looks like something you would not eat it just might be the best thing on the table so try it!!! If a vendor hands you a plate you must take it,,,, Just have Fun and smile allot!!! The Food Festival starts at 10:30 AM and is over @ 3:30 PM.. Come early,, Food starts to be served at or around 11:00Am-11:30AM depending on the monks...Most of the food will be gone by 2 pm.. Live entertainment or music should/could continue through out the afternoon, traditional dance and music should be expected. Dress for warm weather, shorts and sandals will do just fine. If you go in to the Temples be prepared to remove your shoes...and please be respectfully around the monks, males and females should not touch each other and females should not try to touch the monks at any time. RSVP Yes so I can just know who to look for but if you can not make it I am always ok with no shows. Members are welcomed to post on the message board to get groups or to meetup with other memebrs together. If you are alone and unsure if you want to come by yourself email me and I will help you along with getting you with some members or you just can hang with me. No problems!!! And do not forget to Smile!!![:D]

I enjoyed seeing the temple and see all the beautiful details of the buildings. But I was a bit disappointed in the food. Was hoping for higher quality thai.

This was a very enjoyable outing and unique opportunity to experience the culinary diversity of excellent Thai food. Everyone was gracious and willing to share the cultural background.

A beautiful serene day despite the huge crowds. More delicious food than you could possibly imagine, and wonderful people and culture to enjoy. Even saw a monk with an iPad. There's something you don't see every day! The monastery was absolutely gorgeous. So glad I went.

I still don't see any info on the website and it's less than 2 weeks away. Are you sure this is happening?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
