How about a paddle at Hillsborough River?

It looks like we could put in at Dead River park, or at the state park, and take out at the John B. Sargeant park.

I've hiked at the state park and It's got some great terrain, a lot of wildlife.

Anyone paddled this part of the river before?

Yes Chris! I say we plan it. I have heard a lot of great things about this park.
Sounds good!
This group needs to plan something soon.
I was also thinking of a trip to Sebastian Inlet and stopping in our yaks to eat a Captian Hirims.
Or Paddling the Loxahatchee.

A trip to Ft de Soto would be good too.

I guess we'll have to wait for the water levels to drop for Hillsborough. I was reading about the “Seventeen Runs” section, and all the logs you have to pull your kayak over. It could get hairy with the higher water levels.

The Loxahatchee River sounds good. It looks like a very calm river.
