Attend the Door County Sea Kayak Symposium!

Hey, I just wanted to get the word out that this year is the 10th anniversary of the Door County Sea Kayak Symposium. Our registrations are coming in quickly and the early bird pricing ends this weekend.

The website is

If you want to see pics from previous symposia, go to either

If you haven't heard of the Symposium, you should know that it's a pretty cool event, even if I do say so myself. :-) While we don't publicize the event as "for beginners," I'd say that it is a huge part of the symposium to be beginner-friendly. The water is way warmer than Lake Superior and the ability to move around classes if the weather changes is facilitated by being on a peninsula.

Dinners are community affairs under the big tent and the meal is included in cost. The beer is free too. Capital Brewery is a sponsor and they bring up barrels of good stuff (and Sprecher Root Beer for kids and non-drinkers).

We do have kid-friendly family pricing, so you can bring along the kids and not break the bank.

Anyway, check out the website and let me know if you have any questions.
