Yahara River Jeager road

Jeager Rd to fish camp park . This is always a nice paddle and a decent shuttle.
Most of the trip is protected by the shoreline. the only open water is Mud Lake, and that is for only a few hundred yards.”
Plan to paddle down the Yahara river to lake Kegonza. We can have a lunch at the get out point if you wish.

You are responsible for your own health and safety. There are no rentals at the boat launch. You may rent from Rutabaga or other outfitters in town. I no longer have an extra kayak to lend. I'll have a phone along but will turn it off when driving and when on the water.

This is a beautiful portion of the Yahara River.

so good to know my endurance has held through the winter! The wind was quite challenging on the way back through Mud Lake but we made it through :) Thank you Vicki!

The round trip was challenging enough to make this trip memorable. There was a cross wind driving small white caps across mud lake on the way back. About half way across, I was wishing I had put a skirt on the kayak.

Yes8:30 to shuttle if you are going one way. If others come @ 10 it will be up to you what you want to do. Just call me and we can get you back to your car.

Im good with 9. Do we need to there by 8:30 to run the shuttle? Im new to the area and the group so im not familiar with how you handle these events. (I just don't want to be late) :-)

ok well this is what I am going to do. I will change it to 9. Anyone that wants to go at 10 chime in and maybe we can have two groups. It is as I stated a very easy paddle. You can get out at Fish camp by lake kegonsa or paddle back to where we start. I am just worried about the storm front moving in making the paddle iffy for some people

    Victoria,

I'm fine with 9 and plan just to do the one way.

Early sounds good to me. I'm going to have to do a one way. Sunday is the solar eclipse. If it's clear, the astronomy club I belong to is going to do an outreach event starting at 5pm.

With the weather forecast, would people rather leave at 9 or would you like to leave the launch at 10? If people want to shuttle their cars to fish cmp, please come early so we can be on the water by 10 Thanks. You can call me if you need to[masked]
