Welcome!

This is a Meetup group for kayakers who want to kayak in the waters off of Galveston island. I wanted to start this group to bring people together who like the challenge and beauty of kayaking in the Gulf. I like short trips in rough water when the swells are challenging beyond the breakers. I also like paddling out when the Gulf is flat. I like meeting new people and having a good time on the water and sharing the experience and hopefully making new friends. I look forward to meeting more experienced paddlers as well, I have alot to learn and will never stop learning. If this sounds fun to you, chime in and make some recommendations.
