S.R. 41 and S.R. 6, Jennings, FL
This is a special trip and notification of a go date will be posted when the conditions change. The Alapaha River is unique in that the river dries up / runs into a sink and disappears. Some times for months at a time. The river starts in Georgia and continues to the Suwannen River. I have paddled the section from Jennings Florida to S.R. 41 this is a short section and again is dry at this time. When the area receives enough rain to have river flow I will be alerted and post a trip date. The river can dry up in less than a week from being paddleable so this one will be a short notice trip.
I will post pictures of the uppersection and some of the river bed when I dig them out.
