Drum Basics

We cover techniques and basic djembe rhythm parts, and have added dunun rhythms to our curriculum. Relaxed, inclusive environment. You don't have to know ANYTHING to attend.

If there are new students, we will go over the basics at the beginning of the class - that is how to hit the drum for bass, tone and slap, intonation, etc.

We will start working on rhythms at 7:00, and finish around 9:00. It's fun! Just ask anyone who's attended in the past.

Bring your drum.  If you need to borrow a drum, please contact me so I can arrange to have enough available.

I'm bringing my Momma with me. If we could both borrow a drum, that would be faaaaaabulous!!!

I will probably need to borrow a drum again, since I still just have a kiddie sized drum.
