Drum Basics

Now that my summer commitment has ended, we are moving the start time back to 7:00.  We will end around 9:00.

We cover techniques and basic djembe rhythm parts, and have added dunun rhythms to our curriculum. Relaxed, inclusive environment. You don't have to know ANYTHING to attend.

If there are new students, we will go over the basics at the beginning of the class - that is how to hit the drum for bass, tone and slap, intonation, etc.

We have been privileged to have a guest instructor who has been teaching Middle Eastern rhythms for the first hour of class.

We will start working on rhythms at 7:00, and finish around 9:00.

Bring your drum.  If you need to borrow a drum, please contact me so I can arrange to have enough available.

Love offering of $5-$10 to attend.
