I've been a PHP developer for close to 8 years. UMKC grad working as a Programmer @ NKC Schools writing web apps and other things.
~8 years ago when I was hired on as an intern. My first task was to write an XML parser for a Sophos AntiVirus "Latest Threats" feed.
Seeing PHP remain very approachable/easy to work with while still remaining very powerful. Some of the newer frameworks built on PHP5 make me feel like PHP has a very bright future ahead of it (even though it's certainly not in a bad spot as it stands)
My goal is to increase my skills in software architecture, testing, workflow, while introducing new tools to increase my productivity and code quality.
