Father, United States Marine, Software Development Corporation Chief Executive, Martial Artist, Den Leader, Coach, Mentor, and Friend. No matter what you call me, it is highly energetic, highly motivated, highly opinionated, and highly involved. My biggest problem lies in the fact that there just simply are not enough hours in the day to do it all. But, I like my life that way; where I have to choose which activities I will participate in today and which ones I will be unable to do.
PHP has been a small part of many things I have been doing for quite some years now. While for a good number of years I mostly concentrated on desktop application development. I always had projects that involved web and in turn PHP in some small way. But, I find myself doing more web and therefore more PHP as of lately.
Well, the most prominent thing about working with PHP is the fact that it is a scripting language and therefore does not need "compiling". And is quite useful in "generating" markup on the fly based on the environment the markup is going to be displayed within. But, truthfully it is quite versatile no matter you are doing and therefore ends up being a part of most everything, even when it is not the primary language/technology being utilized.
I am primarily seeking to find new, innovative or more concise ways of utilizing PHP. I consider myself to be a lifetime student of computer science/software engineering and therefore I am always looking at what others are doing that is different than what I am doing. So I can compare them with my methods in an effort to improve upon my skill-set.
