Adventures in We-Space - Authentic Relating Games Night

Adventures in We-Space - Authentic Relating Games Night

Get ready for a different kind of Integral Meetup:

This evening will not be a talk or a discussion: It will be an evening of active exploration and rich experience.

Although the games and exercises you’ll be doing are designed with the Integral map in mind, we'll be snatching up your maps this time out, and parachuting you straight down into the rich territory of in-the-moment relationships and community interaction. You'll get a series of simple rules and guidelines for interacting, which will encourage you to favor certain ways of showing up in each situation you may encounter:

Self-Awareness: it is “better” to be aware than unaware of my own experience

Self-Acceptance: it is “better” to fully feel and express rather than repress or deny my own experience

Self-Determination: it is “better” to create my values, rather than take on the assumptions/judgements of others, inspired by my own experience

Self-Loveit is “better” to play this game as right with ourselves as we can possibly be (even as we are also a masterpiece in progress)

Self-Transcendence: it is “better” to play this game in constant discovery of ourselves, rather than filtering/rehearsing, as a moment-by-moment dance

The games will range from fun, slightly risky ice-breakers to games that offer you the possibility to fall into deeper inter-subjective meditation with another.

Come prepared to challenge yourself, to open yourself to new possibilities, to meet old friends in new ways, to make new friends in even newer ways.

Expect to leave having learned some surprising new things about yourself and others, and expect to take with you an expanded sense of what’s possible for you  in all of your everyday relationships---from casual to intimate.

And one other thing to expect: Free Refreshments!

The evening will be facilitated by Jay Kauffman and Dan Seiling

This event is appropriate (and highly recommended) for singles, couples, people of all sexual orientations. All are welcome. It is age-appropriate from PG-13 to infinity.

AuthenticWorld will be taking over Boulder Integral Center  as their new venue for future workshops--which will enable it to stay open and stay integral!

Jay Kauffman is a long-time member of Integral New York. He is the proud owner of a chewed up first edition of Ken Wilber’s “Sex, Ecology, Spirituality,” that he bought and eagerly devoured the moment it came out. (He is happy to let you research the dates on that one.) Jay has done several trainings with AuthenticWorld, including their most recent Authentic Community Leadership training. He’s also a (nearly) certified Uzazu teacher, as well as a composer, an illustrator and a novelist-in-perpetuity. His primary profession is as a classical guitarist and teacher, with a graduate degree from the Juilliard School.

Dan Sieling has completed various trainings and intensives with AuthenticWorld, including the Authentic Community Leadership training. He regularly facilitates Authentic Relating Games Nights in the New York City area, and is eager to bring more of AuthenticWorld's work to the masses. He is also a guitarist in a funk/soul cover band, as well as a teacher and performer of Samulnori, a form of traditional Korean percussion.
