KPLUG Monthly Meeting

Robert Donovan will be giving a talk on Linux for multimedia and amateur film making.

The applications demonstrated will include Audacity, Blender, FFmpeg/avconv, KdenLive, and LMMS. Green screening and basic compositing for video editing will be demonstrated as well as animation and fluid/particle simulations if time permits. For those who want to follow along on the Blender demonstrations, a three-button mouse(ideally, with a scroll wheel) is strongly recommended.

Robert is a long-time Linux enthusiast who has used Linux as his primary OS since 1999 and owner of Tradecraft systems, a network consulting firm that promotes Linux in education and business.

First time attending, a coworker suggested checking this out. Curious to see who else in San Diego uses the OS I lean on for 90% of my servers.
