See everyone at 340 & Lander Road/Jefferson Exit.

Here are two restaurants I recommend, both are on Potomac Street, downtown Hagerstown. Bulls and Bears is excellent.

  • Tammy

Greetings All, Tammy needs to know who is volunteering to lead this event. There are already 27 riders interested and we need (two) riders willing to lead. Please read the TIPS in the discussion area on "How to lead a motorcycle group". Be familiar and USE hand signals, ride at a comfortable speed, obey traffic signals, don't block traffic, use hazards, BE PATIENT, don't rush riders to "catch up", allow riders to ride at their pace, keep proper distance, KNOW the route as much as possible and, MOST IMPORTANTLY ENJOY THE RIDE! Ok so, who is leading. Who has experience? Leighton call me.

    June 18

    • Tammy

Also, VERY IMPORTANT DO NOT BLOCK TRAFFIC so others can enter or cross a road. Very dangerous. Everyone should know how to "stop" and "go. If you have all of this down then OK! thanks to all the leaders. LOL

Haha!! Lol!!!! ;) of corse! And yes that's why we should be training others to lead groups rides so that if we need more riders to ride they can lead! And yes some have different riding skills but it's good when others know how to do the leader skills hand signals and speeding changing lanes and and making sure everyone is accounted for. Yeah I ride with sport bike group that is really big on the track so sometimes the speed sneaks out! Those sport bike riders are sometimes different in there groups and we have to remember that different groups do different things that KU doesn't do. Once we know that then were good.

      June 19

  • Tammy

KU Riders I will need a lead for this event as, I may be out of town this weekend. I have posted "tips & information" in the "How to Lead a Motorcycle Group" Folder in the Discussion area. If everyone provides support to the lead & use/follow proper hand signals, ride in staggered formation, keep proper distance and speed, the ride should be successful. So, who's leading? LOL You can ride the 1 hr and 30 min route or the longer scenic route (very nice) which takes about 3 hours from Natl Harbor to 901 Dual Hwy, Hagerstown, MD 21740).
