Sandwich Sessions | Let's talk about your legal status

In partnership with The Busworks, creative, urban and flexible offices and studios.

Are you self- employed or employed - How do you actually know? A Stringfellows lapdancer tried to assert that she was an employee of the club in an employment tribunal, but on appeal it was decided that she was in fact self-employed. In another case, some carwash valets successfully proved that they were employees and not self-employed, even though their contracts stated very clearly that they were not employees.

Come to our Sandwich Session on Wednesday 20th November between 1 and 2pm where award-winning local solicitors, Gelbergs will be running an interactive workshop for freelancers to learn about their true employment status (the legal relationship between them and their clients) how they can empower themselves, and protect themselves from being taken advantage of.

Gelbergs solicitors are based in Upper Street, Islington, and can help you with all of your business needs. They can be contacted on [masked], twitter @gelbergs and web

Sandwich Sessions from KindredHQ:

By popular demand, we've introduced a brand new lunchtime event for KindredHQ members. Our new Sandwich sessions are an opportunity for members to learn something completely new, for free - in an hour, over lunch.

The idea is simple. You bring your own lunch, and settle in for an hour of inspiration and shared experience. You might be learning how to manage your Wordpress blog, or set up your email marketing campaign, run Google analytics or develop your business model.

Hey, you can even offer to run a session too!

Very useful session - just because you and the taxman think you are self employed, the law might think differently!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
