Hi Everyone! The focus for this month will be Japanese calligraphy. We can practice words like gratitude, love, appreciation, wisdom, thank you, understanding and many other Kanji. When our talents have developed enough we can produce cards or posters to use to solicit donations as part of a fundraiser. Members of the cultural society have offered to supply recordings from Japanese television. Japanese Culture can be appreciated through cinematography. Different Japanese Dishes will be offered each month. Our goal of folding a thousand cranes for Peace can be resumed. Japanese music and elementary language lessons are also available. To prepare with language learning go to the Message Board section and learn Japanese songs. Please wear thick socks or bring a cozy pair of house slippers for when the outdoor shoes are removed at the entrance. More details to come as they develop. Admission is free. Donations are greatly appreciated. If you want to support Kiyo Mizu Kai please consider becoming a member. You can find a membership form in the Files section.

Our group has been going to the festivities every year to enjoy the Meditation Garden tours, taiko drumming, bon dancing and food. Location: Seabrook Buddhist Temple 9 Northville Rd. Seabrook, NJ 08302 (212) 678-0305 We meet at the ADA Dojo and go by car, either following each other up, or carpooling when we find out whose going. There is no admission or parking fee. I would suggest you bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on. You can bring your own food or purchase there but supplies of certain foods are limited. I will put a prior year's program in the FILE section so you can get an idea of the activities. They pretty much stick to that format. Let me know if you have any questions. I come up from Dover so if anyone would like to follow me up to the dojo, let me know. MP if I forgot something, please don't hesitate to add! Thank you!!

Hi Newark japanese Cultural Society and Wellness Meetup Group, Do you prefer to understand why something's not right with your body and heal the root cause? Would you like to live inside yourself more peacefully? Do you believe that the mind, body and spirit are all related? Dr. Mehmet Oz says, "If you want to be healthy and live to 100, do qigong. And, qigong reverses the aging process." Qigong has withstood the test of time. It is practiced daily by 200 million people, is a central part of Traditional Chinese Medicine and has been used as a medical treatment on tens of millions of people for more than 5,000 years.
