Seabrook Obon Festival

  • Jul 20, 2013 · 5:00 PM
  • Seabrook Buddhist Temple

We usually carpool or meet up there.  The people who carpool meet at the dojo around 3:45pm and coordinate with the people there.

Can take your own food but food and drink are available for purchase, though some things sell out quickly. They do sell souveniers and things there (i.e. calligraphy (you can ask them to do your name for example); origami; the taiko drummers sell t-shirts and cds (I think they cost around $10 to 15).

I strongly suggest you bring a picnic blanket and/or lawn chair so you can sit and enjoy the events. No where to sit otherwise.

The event normally ends by 8pm but you're free leave before that if you need to.

Please come together for a group photo at 6. Meet at the entrance of the Meditation Garden.

I really enjoyed my first festival last year. The food, music, sacred garden, and presentations were very enriching!
