This irreverent and bawdy group is made up of fiber artists who go against the grain. Members of this group are Agnostic, Atheist, Pagan, bisexual, lesbian, poly-amorous etc. and/or any combination of the above -OR- perfectly fine socializing with people in those groups. If you are hyper-sensitive, you may feel more at home in a different group. If, on the other hand, you are open-minded and not offended by this description, then you are perfectly welcome. While the name of this group references knitting, crocheting, and spinning all stitchery related crafters are not only welcome, but whole-heartedly encouraged to join, including, but not limited to quilters, sewers, tatters, embroiderers... (heck, even beaders) :)

We are happy to teach others what we know and would like to encourage more advanced crafters and beginners alike to join the group. Even if you have no idea where to begin, we can get you started. You don't have to to know how to knit or crochet in order to attend. Ideally, we want to have crafters of all levels who can learn from each other. Are you a whiz at tatting, but know nothing about crochet, come on in, we need you.

We have weekly Monday knit nights, occasional Saturday knitting groups, and monthly field trips to someplace fun and our own message board on Ravelry at http://www.ravelry.com/groups/knotty-knitters-happy-hooke... and would encourage all of you to register with Ravelry (Mecca for fiber artists) and join our group.
