Fette Sau has good lighting and long tables, so I thought that this would make a good knitting venue. The food is also fantastically delicious Texas style barbecue and their vegetarian side dishes are very good. Happy hour is from 5- 7 pm and these are the specials: 1/2 price beer, $5 Manhattans & Old Fashioneds, smoked chicken legs w spicy slaw for $4 and burnt end sandwich w spicy slaw for $4. There are no servers, so each person goes to the counter to order and pay. This eliminates confusion with bill splitting.
Parking for cars, scooter, motorcycles and bicycles is very good. If you are taking the Frankford-Market train (L train), the stop is Girard & Fette Sau is a two minute walk from it. Busses numbers five and twenty-five also stop there.
