For sure ~ totally understand Caroline!  I've been so busy, and I've been wanting to make it to more knitting meetups, but just one thing after the other comes up! (and now have a new job)  Great that you are making changes to assist with your need for sanity and peace of mind.  Hope you find someone who can take over.  All the Best.  Monica  : )

Subject: [knitting-1337] Looking for a co-/new organizer for the Los Angeles Knitting group.

Hello Los Angeles Knitters!
I am writing to see if there is a member out there who might be interested in taking over my role as organizer.
I started this meetup back in 2007, so it has been nearly five years of knitting together for me. I had been in LA about a year and was eager to meet new friends. This group was a great source for that. But five years later, I am established and so happy to be fully settled in L.A. I have noticed that I have a major overcomittment issue with my schedule, and am often double booked most days. Something has to give.
As I realized I have a graduation this Sunday and will have to miss yet another meet-up with all of you, it feels like a good time to pass the torch. I've been struggling with some repetitive stress issues, so a bit of a knitting break is in store as well.
Is there a member out there who would like to step in as the new organizer? As it stands, the organizing part has always been very easy. I have the calendar set up to repeat the second sunday of the month, and have only had to change it when there is a conflict. I am sure someone with more time could make much of the group.
I will miss you all this coming Sunday and hope to hear from a potential new leader very soon.
Happy knitting!
Caroline
