Hi Wanda - We just reached Berlin. We were near Stuttgart for several days for the 50th (!) reunion of the Stanford group I studied with in Germany in 1961. Now in Berlin and later north by the Baltic I'll be looking for yarn stores. Have fun. I wish I were there, but I'm glad that I'm here. See you soon, Barbara

Thank you, Wanda for your lovely greeting. I hope to stop by for your next meetup to meet you and get acquainted. I have been at a standstill for a while and am looking for some inspiration. I have been knitting for almost 50 years now and enjoy it. Having a regular time and place to work on projects sounds like a good idea.

Yes, maybe I can go on thst lsst Saturday. HMB is Half Moon Bay. I made a washcloth as my practice piece. It had holes because I dropped several of the stitches. But my husband whose Mom is an expert (she lives in Ohio) in knitting said for a beginner i am fine. I am working on my second practice piece and after this I will start with my throw. I i intend not to make mistakes because I want it to be perfect. It will be all knit stitches.

Thank you for the welcome! I love it! I am excited to know people who knows how to knit because I am a novice and is eager to learn the tricks of knitting. I will try to see if I can show up with the upcoming meetings. Not sure really because it is in the middle of the week and usually on weekdays I am busy with work. Anyhoo, today I went to HMB to get some yarn. I will make a throw for my very first project. The owner of the store helped me. I am excited to embark on this journey!
